Strangely, it's the first time I've seen these pics, too. I could manage a weekend meet in Snowdonia almost anytime, - it's that bit closer than Ystradfellte, which I still want to do, but over several days.

It's definitely off for me now.

My taxi is due for its annual overhaul, which has to be booked a bit earlier this year, due to registration dates.

My cab mechanic wants to start work on the cab on Saturday the 2nd of January  Shocked

Well now Andy, somewhat halfway twixt N. Wales and Ystradfellte is this site.
I've used this site when I was M/cycle camping, https://disserth.biz/  between Llandrindod & Builth Wells - Look it up.

I phoned the proprietor tonight, yes he does accept car clubs  Smile  Only OPEN March to October, due to council licence regs.  Sad

Very nice with a babbling river on one side (Pleasant in daytime, quite annoying at night) One does not have to park up by the river  Smile

A bar for evening social/s. The Eden Valley is close, the Mountain road that runs twixt Rhayadar & Aberystwyth is quite spectacular,
with its 3 reservoirs and dams.

Also not far is the Llyn Brianne reservior, nice tranquil spot at the viewpoint. - My first visit there was on a nice warm sunny day,
I wanted to spend a a few hours just taking in the tranquility, unfortunately my tummy needed refilling, I had to move on.

To get there, travel from Abergwesyn, take the road from there to Tregaron, along the Devil's Staircase - (Shown on Google maps as Wolfs Leap)
That is one narrow road, with a nasty drop to one side, and nowhere to go on the other, except for mountain goats.

Still up for site look good I have passed myself a few time doing my day job.  It would be well worth the effort just to drive the mountain road from Rhayadar to Aberystwyth Stop and see the old mine workings and visit the 3

Link to Wales on line showing the water coming over one of the dams this week worth a look.

Disserth looks an equally good venue, possibly more central and more accessible to more of us. I'll excuse your typo, Deker, as EDEN valley is where I live. I haven't visited Elan valley since I was a lad, and we stayed with my great uncle who was a civil engineer for the dams. His house overlooked one of them, but I can't remember which.

Looked there, I'll be happy either way. Easter for me starts on Good Friday, 25th March for 2 weeks. I suggest as you know Wales better than me, Deker, you make a decision on the venue, start a new thread, and get folks to sign up. I could also manage a long weekend including a Monday if we are trying to avoid peak times to get the best deal. Fingers crossed for your Taxi.

A) Oops  Embarassed  Was thinking about you as I typed. Elan it is.

B) With those Welsh names that is understandable   Rolling Eyes

I figured that Disserth is more central for most folks, as it is close to the East Coast of Wales   Wink   Idea
