My good friends have a very nice large field near llanidloes, if we don't mind sharing with sheep! It's not a campsite, but I store a truck there. There is self-composting toilets only. I'm sure we could use water from their house nearby, but no shower. Would potentially be free though, but I'd like to give them a donation. They have had wedding receptions/events there so Ill speak to them and see what they say... |
Any more news on this, Highrise? I am happy to make a donation for the facilities. There should be some good greenlaning opportunities in the area. _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

I'm itching to have a meet with other Delica owners, which is not at a public showground.
So - - -
The New Inn at Ystradfellte, not far from Merthyr Tydfil, is a pub that allows overnight parking
I have the phone number, if anyone interested = more than 3 of you/us, I will phone the pub.
NOTE = The pub had a previous landlord, who - according to write ups, was not friendly.
The pub has a new landlord, apparently very good. And does good meals
Very close to Robs residence - Would you like to check it out Rob
It's a 200 + mile drive for me, but I'm still keen

I'd like to come out (of the shadows!) and participate.
Always assuming her indoors hasn't booked something else and the old Deli passes the MOT next month. _________________ Talk the torque

I'm Hoping for the new year, Friday is 1st, reckon that's out for most folks,
Saturday 2 & Sunday 3 could be good.
December - Sat & Sun the 26 & 27 are the other date's, probably not for most of us.

Weather = cool N damp - don't look good for a meet
Was hoping for clear skies. Cold, Snow N Frost would 'ave been okay, wet = NO.
This thread was started by Rob, I would like to keep it going for a summer meet.
Location = Ystradfellte, The New Inn, a pub that allows overnight parking for those that imbibe of their products
Or wherever else on the British mainland.
All those in favour, put your hands up :D
The last big meets, were two, in 2009 North Wales.
And 2011, Wiltshire, on the Plain, for non damage (apart from "Scratchy Lane") off road.
A big independent Delica meet (not at a showground) is long overdue
'An I would like to meet other Delica nutters enthusiasts, to exchange tech info, ideas, places to see, etc.

all the photos were in Snowdonia except that one. I thought it was a pic that might appeal to those looking for roads and ways off the main track. |
Just seen this post
Yes, I've been up A 470 a couple of times on me bike.
When I camped at Disserth Camping site, near Newbridge on Wye.
Also rode from a campsite in the Black Mountains = Black Mountain Caravan & Campsite Park, to & from Llandrindod Wells a few times.
Happy days

Easter to September, any time in there would suit during school hols, although Oz this summer is a distinct possibility. I need several days to do this trip, preferably longer, lighter days. _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |
