Posted: Mon Jun 22, 2015 9:42 Post subject: Terzo Ladder plate dimensions |
|
|
I recently acquired a Terzo ladder for my high roof L400.
I put it on the back of the van and noticed that something was missing from the foot nearest the rear number plate. From searching the forums I've found that I'm missing the plates that attach to the back door.
Still it could have been worse from what I gather reading other posts where people have bought a ladder for the Deli only to find that it is for a completely different vehicle!
It doesn't look too difficult to fabricate something myself but I could really do with the dimensions. I figured I would probably get by with just the lower plates for now. Is there anyone who could provide some measurements for me please?
Thanks |

Not a bad idea, but I have some spare sheet metal that looks like it would be up to the job.
I will bear the idea of the black of wood in mind though.
Nothing wrong with a bit of improvisation! :D |

Sorry no measurements, but maybe you can judge them against the one you have from these pics.
Long one goes next to the number plate.
HTH :D

Thanks Lewis, that helps a lot.
Those pics are clearer than the ones I've already seen. |

Isn't there another one that goes underneath that one? |

Nope.
It hooks over the top, with a large foam pad stuck on the underside to protect the underside. The lower mounts have tension springs which are tightened to lock the ladder to the door.
The top of the inner upright has an additional adjuster in it.

My ladder has a straight top plate, and I need to bend mine. At what distance does it start to curve? |

Not possible to actually say.
It curves both horizontally and vertically to match the shape of the tailgate, where it fits on. :? _________________

Don't suppose anyone has an idea of the radius of the curve? |

Thats a different one to mine shown above, which has the ladder bracket on it, so there must be more than one type.
Mine has the number 809 pressed into it. :?
The underside of mine is the middle photo above. _________________

This plate doesn't replace the one used by ladders with the 809 plate at the top, it goes under that plate.
Here is the link to the post where I found these images:
http://www.MDOCUK.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=41794
And a photo of the ladder fitted over the plate
This listing shows a complete setup also:
