I'm also losing oil from the half moon in my rocker cover gasket so would like that changing too

does anyone know of a garage in the area that can fix it

Hi Gra, I don't know any, but if you google " diesel mechanics north east," there are some in Co Durham you could try.

I'm quite jealous that he gets to drive across a lovely part of the country with fantastic scenery and I get the M25  :?

And Rick goes to other lovely places - Liverpool, Manchester  Exclamation

At least youv'e been to Hilly Herts a few times  Smile  'An you think the M25 can be bad, try the M6 at certain times  Sad

The M25, most of it does have pleasant scenery, the M6 (IMO) starts to get interesting past Preston,
especially past the Eastern edge of the Lakes, then onto the A74M, really nice   Smile

Altho I do see a similarity twixt parts the A74M, and the A470 up towards Brecon.

I'm even more fed up now  Crying or Very sad

From Loch Lomond to home, fine rain at the Loch.
A few years back in July, riding across Shap M6, me on bike temperature 12 ° C, horizontal fine rain  Sad
Most unpleasant  Crying or Very sad

Worst bit about that ride, due to fine rain, I could not see some of the best motorway scenery  Sad - the Eastern edge of the Lakes.

It aint always good up North Mark.
