Here is a guide to freeing the wastegate actuator rod. It can become ceased, preventing the turbo from operating correctly, resulting in loss of power.

To free the actuator: -

1. Remove the air intake pipe from the filter box to the turbo to allow easier access to the wastegate - Philips screwdriver required.
2. Recommend covering the entrance to the turbo to prevent debris from falling in.
3. Spray lots of WD40 onto the rod to work free any rust / ceasing.
4. Leave for a couple of minutes to allow the WD40 to work.
5. Remove the two bolts holding the wastegate actuator onto the turbo - 12mm spanner required.
6. Carefully move the wastegate actuator backwards and forwards freeing the ceased rod.
7. Once free, put some lubricant on the rod connections that will withstand the heat, as I believe WD40 will not, and it will surely cease again soon!

I hope all this is correct, and if I have missed something out or got it wrong, then please let me know!
