hi, all
don`t despair if you make that nightmare mistake and start to fill up the diesel tank with petrol. i done this when my Deli was nearly empty and only realized what was happening when i smelt petrol, bythis time i had put nearly £20.00 in. :o i did`nt really know what to do, and was in a hurry, so i then filled up as much a possible with diesel(just under £30.00) to my supprise it all mixed together and i could not reallt notice any difference in performance :D the dodgy mix has now all gone and i now always double check the fuel pump _________________ -defenseless against a clear blue sky- |

Filled my old car up with petrol instead of diesel a couple of years ago, it stopped dead, called the service, this was about midnight, got towed to the only local garage that was licenced to drain fuel, two hours and £120 later all was fine, except the wife, note to self, stay awake on garage forecourts !!!! |

Hello all,
I thought that that I was the only dual fuel driver on the site!
I did a similar fuel mix up some time back, realised my mistake pulled out of the way and phoned the RAC.
The info I got from them was that up to 20% unleaded was okay, fill the tank up, run it down to 2/3 full, fill it up again and repeat a couple of times and all will be well.
And it was.
I didn't post becase when I checked someone else had mentioned it so I didn't think it would be worth it! Sorry!
I did wonder seeing as unleaded was 5p cheaper it could be a regular saving :D (Joke)
