HI, i was thinking that since most members will have a CB radio we could agree a default channel for the club call out, that way if you see another Delica on the road you can try and call it on the CB?
also when you go off roading you already have a predefined channel to speak in?#
i will start by sugesting channel 22 as its in the middle of the frequency range, should have a very good reception as most antennas have to compromise some channels and the middle of the frequency range is where most of them have the better reception.

16 seems good to me as well, the idea is that we keep on listening on to that channel even when not off roading, truckers have 19 we can have 16, sounds good to me.

you're right, I've been trying to get someone on the radio but all you get is the "nerdy" CB entusiasts on the air, i have one in my area that nust have quite a setup on his backyard, i could listen to him perfectly at my doorstep and at my work 5 miles away

Erm, thats is categorically _not_ using cb frequencies.

Agree, if it works at all it will be delivering feeds to the phone/tablet from a server which in turn is fed the feeds from around the world.

I suspect it is CB in name only (which is a bit misleading)

i agree, i downloaded it and tried, what i could understand is that is an audio chat room, cb is just in the name.

Yeap i agree its just an app designed to mimic "walkie talkies" or "cb" its not transmitting or receiving radio via servers or otherwise, you can only talk or listen to other users of the app.

if can get the members to spread the word in other 4x4 forums?

Or use 14 as the cars do or even better 19 as the few truck's do.
If net use 19 them maybe, just maybe you could hear a warning like I once heard that saved the life of the people who were in the middle lane of the M74 southbound facing the wrong way  Wink just a thought
