Only when browsing this site over the last few days
Only affects this site, any other apps that are open work okay.
Anyone else had the problem
Checked my PC by opening several applications and the net, no locking up.

Not connected but I've just changed to firefox and am getting a much faster browsing experience than explorer. Still too soon to say if it is totally better but I am very impressed at the moment. _________________ L300 Super Exceed |

If you are using IE you only have yourself to blame. |

Please be more specific. Elaborate on your statement.
Sorry mate, but I'm not a computer whizkid.
A long time back I tried Firefox = not good, as I said not a whizkid, maybe I didn't know how to use its features (or lack of them)

I've been having a lot of problems too. It appears that the website is accessing a service called adjug that is on my computer causing the problem.
I tried blocking it without success.
Literally in the last 10 mins i installed the google chrome browser. All is well again now - i would advise you give that a try... |

Just block cookies from 'adjug' that seems to solve the problem. It has on mine anyway. |

I've had it too ... hopefully, microsoft will be on top of this, otherwise, there are plenty of other, good quality browsers out there ...
Firefox
Google Chrome
I am, trying to find out what's gone wrong and see if there's a simple fix!

Having run google chrome for 2 days now I have to say I'm really happy with it
It fixed the problems with this website and generally seems to be faster and more trouble free that internet explorer..... |

Google Chrome works perfectly! (As does Firefox - although Firefox isn't my favourite browser by a long way!).
On ITOCUK and POCUK they've got the same - some have cleared it by clearing cookies others by clicking 'compatibility view'
So far - bug-free on Google Chrome <-- Click to link

Have to say always sceptical of new fangled stuff especially if it involves a pc!
But google chrome is outstanding!
Although I'll stick with my Macs thanks _________________ Disclaimer: any images that appear on this site that claim to be me can't be me as I wasn't there!! |

I get the impression 'Adjug' has failed to comply with the new DATA laws on asking permission beforebinstalling their cookies on people PC's. _________________

I got the usual monthly pile of windows XP updates yesterday, including one for IE8 (KB2699988), and since installing I've been having major problems with this forum locking up every time I try to post .
Just uninstalled it, and things are back to normal ( well, so far anyway ) |
I uninstalled it - re-installed it - 'puter restarted and the problem seems to have gone away

I'm running IE8 still and after blocking 'adjug' cookies it's been fine with no lockups, it was even worse on pocok but has totally stopped now so hopefully its sorted. |
