I wondered what that socket was for! _________________

don't forget to fit an external speaker to your CB in that position. the sound can sometimes be very muffled due to lack of airspace |
A good spot is under the dash unit, to save having to thread the speaker wire anywhere:-
A good place to put the microphone holder is to slip it over behind the front of the unit, which saves screwing it in, though this does tend to get in the way of the spring-loaded cup holder under the radio unit. _________________

With regards to the externl speaker, I don't think the package comes with one so is this optional or must I have one for it to work? Doesn't the mic also have a built in speaker or is it on the console itself? sorry to sound dumb I like the surround thats around the tti it looks neat. Nice one chaps! |

The ext speaker is normaly an extra. the mic on most CB's won't pass sound back.
heres basicly what you will need via bay of fleas
Item number: 280637718527
The Main CB unit comes with its own speaker but if your going to fit it into the dash then the speaker will be muffled. hence the external one that plugs into the back of your CB via a 3.5 jack [mono]
hope this helps ^.^ |

Same here, i have the Midland 4001, its in the dash, but i had to have it above the stereo as it was too tight a fit on the bottom. i have it plugged into the Ciggy Lighter socket and do not get any interference at all. i used to have the same one as ken, but it gave up the ghost and wouldn't Tx-Rx, although i got power on it _________________ John (LTM 158)

Well the Danita 3000 arrived today and I must say so far it's awesome. Very easy to fit under the stereo with little modification needed. It took literally 30 minutes to fit however I will need to tidy the aerial lead going to the roof, anybody have any pics of how to get the aerial up there and where to trace the lead??? _________________ Negativity is not an option, It's a choice |

I've run mine side of the opening middle driver side window then a few little blobs of tigerseal on the crystalite roof seals. the cable fits snug in the seal gully and the magmount sits firmly in the middle of the roof. I then run the cable under the roof trim edge and down the door frame to the dash.
looks neat enough
[don't forget your drip loop on the cable leading into the window seal] |

Now, I don't have the Crystalite roof... So not entirely sure whether it'll be okay. Sorry but do you have any pics of how it's done.. or just to indicate where you've run it! _________________ Negativity is not an option, It's a choice |

Quick point.
If yet use your Delica off road be careful where you route the wire as it can break the window.
Mine is routed thru the passenger door, its done so for when I knock the mag mount off as the door will bend and the side window won't _________________ 2nd gear low and go go go!
