Hi Delifreaks-I'm looking for a Tailgate door open/lock dash-board switch/ from a breaker L300. Anybody know of one?

Hi there,

I've just fixed mine! Thought it was the door solenoid so spent ages taking it out and testing it, before realising it was the switch (always the last place you look!)

I took my switch apart - the contacts were just really dirty and burnt.
Quick nail filing and its all good again.

Didn't take photos, but hopefully this makes sense:-
If you take the switch apart be careful, there are two small spring plungers that sit in the rocker (bit you push) that are easy to loose in the carpet Embarassed . The back of the switch box just unclips off the front face plate part with all the contacts in the back bit and the front bit contains rocker and the two sprung plungers (if they fall out of the holes, they go in spring first).
Just use a little grease to hold everything in place when you click the switch back together.
Good Luck! Smile

Have sent you PM of the one breaking in Bognor - guy said he'll post stuff out. The switch was working fine on his on Sunday, because I opened the boot with it! Also the solinoid/plunger whatever you call it worked on the boot. Worth checking that, maybe that is at fault? The are 2 wires that go in. just stick 12 volts up them for open, then reverse the polarity for closed (or vice versa, doesn't matter).
Mine had lights too - fiddley little rudeword Twisted Evil
