No money needed Daz..
Was in the office discussing the payment for quite some time...cos I took it that the price was per unit done and dusted, after the campsite owners put the price per unit and then knocked a bit off the price cos it was a rally. Unfortunatly they didn't make it clear on the confirmation that kids, awnings etc were extra as with regular camping. I said I should have checked....the owner said he was new at the camping lark so he should have mentioned it on the confirmation.
All sorted very amicably without me having to pay any extra... I suggested next time pricing for a large pitch...per unit no matter who is in that unit....and then we divide the price for the pitch to get the cost per van/tent.
Finally got away and partway to Salisbury and I remembered Deker's chair in the back of the van so had to double back with it... Set off again and got to the A34 and by then between the chair and the fees had lost the will to live so stopped and answered a couple of txts, had a Mars bar, was going to mooch back home but nodded off. Woke up and didn't want to be out all day cos I was starting to get very odd so floored Milo, watched his fuel guage drop and had to top his fuel up at Tamworth...

Ange, you did very well, i was quite impressed the way you drove the mud, until you started going up sideways but you soon altered that, and made it easy |
:D :D :D
I tried to follow what you told me to do, but I'm afraid I got a bit excitable at the end going up the bank...

Hi All,
What a fab weekend! We all had a great time, very tired now after 5 hour journey home! Any little splatters of mud from yesterday's adventures had all washed off by the time we got home... no damage due to off roading but now have to replace rear lens due to Barry failing to reverse effectively
Thank you so much Ange for sorting the campsite, it was a very pleasant spot with good clean facilities and great space for the kids to play rounders!
Thanks also to Bazza and Buz for sorting the routes, shame we missed the gentle day on Sat! We will definitely be down south again in August, it will probably have rained for a whole month by then and Disco Duck will be a little deeper !!
Ian, you have taken some excellent piccies - Weasol's promised not to wash his van ever again, shame as it spoils all that shiny stuff but there is now evidence on here that he was allowed out to play!
It was lovely to meet you all, hope to see you again at another event,
Fi, Barry and the kids |

Firstly, huge thanks to Ange for organising and Buz & Baz for taking an offroad virgin by the hand! Thanks to everyone else for making us feel welcome. It was great to meet you all.
The campsite was great. Smallest site I've ever been on but the facilities were clean and functioning and the hot water was hot, and reliably constant! Any campers out there will appreciate how important that last bit is!
As to the soft/off roading: we all enjoyed that. The furthest offroad I'd been before was a particularly troublesome lay-by with a worthy burger van at the end! By day 2 I was wondering if I could warrant a snorkel!
Thanks to Baz & Buz again for the fun there!
Fostlongstrider will testify to the noises I was making on hearing the branches testing the adhesive permanence of my various bits of pimp-bling!
I can happily report that all shiny bits are still attached!
Ian the pics are fabulous. PM on it's way as I'd also like one big enough for a desktop background!
If anyone is out there sitting on the fence about whether to come to a meet like this, I thoroughly recommend it.
(oh and bring your trainers.. We need more rounders players ) |

Hi all, I'd just like to add my thanks to Ange for organising this meet and to Buzzr and Baz for sorting out the lanes. It was lovely to meet the people i hadn't met before, and put a face to there forum names. I'm looking forward to the next one very much. I didn't get a chance to get many photos i'm afraid, but here are a couple that didn't come out to bad.
Delicas just love water don't they?
Like hippos around a mud wallow :-)
Regards

Hi all, well what can I say thats not already been said.....errr....
Well done Ange for giving Milo a great birthday and choosing an excellent site for it,
wish we could have been there for more than just the day
Many thanks to Baz & Buz for sorting out the off roading, wish I could have done the Sunday run, will also have to remember to fit the sump guard back on next time
Mrs said sorry she wasn't about much, wasn't feeling that good before the laning, as for after
Anyway, I think I just said basically the same as everone else there
Good to meet up with you all and well done again to Ange and all involved in putting it together _________________ Beat

I'm glad everyone enjoyed it...and I couldn't have done the meet without all the planning that Baz and Buz put into it....
I was thinking it would be nice to have another one next year....but with the enthusiasm for this one then maybe later on this year....September or October when it might be more muddy...and by October we would get into the campsite easily. Let me know what you all think...
October might be good to stop me going into hibernation too early....lol...
I certainly enjoyed the off roading part, curtesy of Buz and Jay who let me drive their Delis...
