Hi guys,
             We have just brought a caravan and can't get my head around the towing weights ! Got a 96 L400 and the caravan is a Adria 612DP which is a MRO of 1335kg and a MTPLM of 1500kg. Have been out for a weekend and all seemed okay, was wondering what the MRO and the MTPLM was and most importantly am i leagal to tow this caravan (yes passed my test years ago). Plus what is the ideal nose weight ?

I think you are a smidge over there are no manufaturer figures so i think its 1200kg or summat if you look through the caravan and tech thread there is loads of stuff on it.

Recommended towing weight is 85% of the kerbweight of towing vehicle, average L400 is 2250kg so approx 1900kg would be the towing max, You'll be fine at that weight. We have a Adria forma 610c twin axle thats heavier and no problem. But as bazza has said there's no manufacturer data so staying to the 85% rule would be fine,
