Our bus coughs out black smoke! So am thinking about the blanking kit!
However what I'd like to know is do I remove the old valve completely or just fit the blanking kit in between!!
I'm hoping to see an improvement in fuel consumption and hopefully a little less black smoke!!

The blanking kits are a doddle to fit and it looks neat and tidy, if you're going to blank it you may as well remove it. you could try and clean it out but if it's not sealing just get rid for the sake of a tenner.

A proper kit with blanking plates etc does away with it there is not much too them 2 plates bolts and a bit of rubber pipe but but you can just buy a plate that goes on with the egr in situ.I prefer the egr off and in the bin option. :D

Confuzzled, you'll fit in well on here.. Laughing . Some people just put in a thin blanking plate, others take it all off, including the small pipe.. The kit's come with two blanking plates, made with thick metal, nut's and bolts included.. The thin way is likely to burn thru the thin metal as it's gets hot angryfire
