Looks like a nice meet was had.
We wanted to come down but I had the Deli valeted on Saturday and the interior was damp so decided sleeping in her overnight may not be good idea.
Sunday I decided to tackle the lack of underseal on our new toy. Luckily I have a recovery truck that I use to lift my motors up to do work underneath...VERY HANDY.
So Sunday consisted of jetwashing the underside, it was nigh on spotless anyway, and then drying....I used an garden leaf blower to blast dry and get the drying process moving along  :D .

Tin of Hammerite and spray cans of cold Zinc treatment, a few hours and plenty of it over me and the 1st step was well underway.
Monday I bought 6 litres of Shultz underseal, borrowed a large compressor and attacked the Deli. 2hours later I've got every accesable surface plastered in loooooovely gooey underseal, used the flexible attatchment to get inside the chassis and blasted it all.................HAPPY DAYS. :D

The results I feel are more than enough to keep the rust away for a good while now. Luckily with my recovery truck it is easy to lift a motor right up so I can get underneath to jetwash them down.
Now I feel I have at least made an effort to protect it. It may not of been a proffesional job but it damn well was thorough. :D

So hopefully soon we will be able to make one of these meets, it'd be good to see a few other delis and get to sniff round other motors and see what goodies are available.
Phil.

Hi wibb's, it's the second from left in the first pic, it's the only low roof Delica on there (i think).

I was told that they had little/no underseal so thought for the sake of about £100 I could give it half a chance against the elements...job done.
We're off to Italy soon so wanted it done sooner rather than later so I took advantage of the weekend and got stuck in.

At least now if we do decide to drive it off road I won't be thinking about bare metal getting eaten away and the inevitable road salts in winter giving it a good seeing to. Smile

The hill was great but maybe we should have a beach meet next. A sandy beach for the children and some off roading to get there maybe. I'll have to get my new shocks fitted first, which of course means I have to buy them grrrrrr.

Who arranges the meets?

I was going to suggest West Wittering but no off roading to get there (i wouldn't count the car park as offroading), perfect for a day out though
