Okay, so I've got the pump out and its about to be sent off to have all the seals done, as it has started leaking a bit on the cold weather. It's a Diesel-Kiki pump. Am I right in thinking I can run her on 100% veg provided i start on Diesel, and run the veg through a heat exchanger to heat up the oil? If so, I'll be off to get required kit to do so!

I had an empty tank, below the empty marker and started her up last summer and filled to the brim with WVO filtered and travelled accross south wales on veggie 100%. Had issues on the motorway, started to struggle on motorway hills but carried on going ( please bear in mind I got down to 40mph on some hills so it was struglling )

I ran the tank about 140 miles then filled up with £10 unleaded to thin it out......it was certainly very responsive then

During this winter I've used mainly diesel but with brand new batteries on, starting on veggie is a lot easier now and so I use about 40l of wvo and 20 l diesel straight into the tank. I havent had my fuel pump seals done yet, but no doubt theyll need doing tomorrow seeing as I havent touched wood

There are some members in the Canadian Delica Owners forum that are running on 100% veggie oil in L300s. I have been browsing the UK forums to try to find people that are doing this on the L400s! Note, of the members that I know that are running on 100% veggie oil, they are using conversion kits to pre-heat the oil before it hits the engine. Block heaters are also very popular for this as well I am told.

no mod 100% 1 micron filtered WVO in summer was fine on my L300 althought it did shake/rattle very slightly on idle. some people say they lose mpg or power when on veggie i didnt notice any of that in fact my deli seems happier on open roads when shes on veggie. going to fit a heat exchanger before filter asap but i have quite a long to-do-list to keep up. regarding the uphill speed notty mentioned, my L300 does 40 to 50mph up hill anyway on 100% diesel which im used to it now... LOL
