Click on profile up there ^^^^

Scroll right down to the bottom and upload one from your PC... Tells you how big the file needs to be

I had a problem of getting my pictures small enough.

here's a solution.

Copy it onto paint, then don't click yet, just click on the corner and resize it, then save it as something different.

If you wan't one in the left hand box, below your name, its called an Avatar.

Go into your profile, as Jaf1968 said, then at the bottom of the screen, click on the browse button and go to the location on your PC where the picture is stored.

There is a file size limit of 4kb, as well as a max of 100x90 pixels.

This post may be of help:- http://www.MDOCUK.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=19554

If you wan't a bigger one in the right hand side, that's called a signature picture.

See these posts for more info on that:-

What you have there is your 'signature' The OP wanted to put a picture up as an 'Avatar' which is the smaller picture on the left under your username Wink
The technical difference is the Avatar is uploaded to the server, so there is a need to keep the file sizes down to a minimum! Whereas the signatures are stored on the your own photo host and is loaded from there... Again we ask the size is kept to a reasonable limit  to help keep the forum running quicker and also save on the scrolling etc... Wink
