Wouldn't you just know it....got down there on Wednesday to be subjected to constant abuse by the old git Carstairs..... :D  :D

Seriously, I met up with Greg (Carstairs) and June in Pwllheli and then followed them and John out to the site.  The veiws of the bay and the coast were amazing, and I'm so glad I went on the Wednesday to have more time in such a beautiful place...Smile

They kept me in their camp till others arrived, so I wouldn't be alone....(and so the old codger could insult me Smile )...and we had a brilliant time...Smile

By late Thurdays others started to arrive, and folks tricked in till Saturday....including an interloper, a campervan that had to be towed out of the mud by a Deli...Smile

A big thanks to Carstairs and June for organising such a good meet and making me feel so welcome...and for keeping me stocked up with tea and egg butties....and a big thanks to Dylan the farmer, for looking after us so well...Smile

And it was lovely to meet so many other members and finally put names to faces...Smile

A great time....I'll certainly go again when there is another one.....Smile

Good to meet you Bulldoggy....Smile

Went a different way home and still took 4.5hours......but only £24 of fuel to get there, which sirprised me a lot....same probably back again.

Had a lot of good giggles with Liz.....Grasshole's wife.....and a big thanks to Grasshole for getting me some water...Smile

Thanks to everyone who pushed Milo off the damp grass that he has sunk into while I was camped.... Razz

Very nearly had one glass of wine, but thought better of it...I was a bit too near the cliff edge....Smile

Brilliant 'Fire Poy' entertainment by Wibbs and Rich etc..... :D

The raffle went well, and loads of prizes were donated....Smile

And at the end of the last night I presented Carstairs with his very own, top of the range set of EAR PLUGS..... Razz  Razz  Razz

The weather we struggled with...

Was it you? Went out for a drive on Saturday evening and saw another Delica...

And another to show what downright thoroughly miserable weather we suffered from Saturday onwards.  And the views... nah, nothing to see here...

We've been fortunate to have good weather, good friends and good times this weekend, but now... it appears I have a front wheel bearing or brake to fix after regular squeaky wheel in Llandudno became grinding noise by time we got off the M606 at Bradford.

Still think it's worth it!

And Fosty the penguin says "hello!"

Hi all
Glad you all had a great weekend
Sorry I couldn't spend any longer
Polgster cheers for the comp. And the lights
I did motor round from aberdaron on Sunday in the boat but it was too rocky to moor up and I didn't have any numbers for anyone not that I could get a signal !

Did think about trying to spell "Deli" in my wake but not that manoverable

The other alternative was a flare but that might of got me other attention !

Nearly got stuck in the softsand on aberdaron beach but managed to get off eventually although water was upto door seals !

Any way carnt wait to get back and see pics

Unfortunatly iam here until the end of the month

Oh well guess I will manage

Cheers Andy

Good to put names to faces... damned if I can remember anything these days so I'll have forgotten by next time...

And yes we did struggle with the weather, nice trip out on our first night there... battled our way up here against the howling wind and torrential rain Shocked

Kids enjoyed the almost exclusive beach - as usual - got around 4kg of shells and a bucket full of clay in the boot of the car..

Once I've got them trained in the art of sleeping in I'll be joining you for a few beers Wink

Carstairs - nice one  8-)
