I thought I'd try out the Delica's chassis number on the online database I got form the VR4 club and it works.  Use Internet Explorer to go to : http://recall.mitsubishi-motors.co.jp/Recall/resultrecallstatus.do

It's all in Japanese so just enter your chassis number at the bottom and press the button.  Once you get the results paste the content into Google Translate engine to find out what needs doing.  For example ours came back with :

(Start date) Implementation
1 Delica, Pajero, Challenger diesel engine (fuel pump) work not done the recall on 2004/07/22
2 front brake service for delicatessen
2000/12/19 campaign work not done

"Work not done" with regard to the items you have, we are truly sorry for the inconvenience, the company purchased, please request a free repair or your local dealer.

'Work not done'  indicates the recall is incomplete which I'm actually quite happy about as I think the fuel pump may need it's timing doing.  As for the brakes, they seem okay and I'm not sure about the translation.

If you head into your local dealer they should be able to book you in for the work for free.  It normally takes a couple of weeks to get the parts in but hey, you get stuff done for free!

All of the VR4 owners use it to check on their recall status.  So far it has proven correct every time.

hi i worked for mitsi up till last year this means that your pump recall has been carried out and also the brake recall has been carried out , they use the same form for all recall replies and only change vehicle details
also i believe from memory that the cold start was causing the engine to race which was what the recall was for
cheers   spanners

Don't know if i'm getting this thread tbh, but does this mean that there has been a recall for the pump seals, and the work has not been done, and they will do if free of charge.  Or am I just wishing this is the case.  My seals havegone and am about to book her in for the work.

The recall as far as i can make it out on the L300 / P35W and P25W are that the ball joint dust covers are faulty and leak. Recall is to inspect, replace cover/sleeve and also replace Ball joints if these have deteriorted due to these faulty covers. I am waiting on a call back from Mitsi UK.
