Some sections of the forums, (eg 'chat'), have an 'auto expire' function, where posts that haven't been replied to for a set period of time automatically age-out / drop off the forum.

What this means is, over a period of time, the actual number of current posts you have on the forums may not match the number of posts you have ever made.

Every now and again, a clean-up job, (post-count-resynch), is run, that simply re-aligns the post counts to reflect the actual number of current posts you have on the forums.

If you've posted a lot in the 'auto-expire' sections, you may see a significant change, otherwise, you may not notice a change at all.
