if my valve is knackered will i loose power cos mine like a snail at min, don't even think about hills Sad
but when i have to go up ne you have to floor the thing to go 20 mph then its holding back all the time and cuts out if you ease off the gas ,
some times does this on flat also if trying to get bit of speed up, she seems to be holding back then cuts out but starts back    up no problem , I've don't the filter and oil change but seems to be getting worse?

shall i try removing the egr, seen a kit on e bay that removes it totally with 2 plates,

getting worried about her now she needs some help

you can get a blanking plate from the club shop(£5 i think)
just block the tube and see if it makes any difference first.
have you changed the air filter?
you could also check the pipes to the intercooler as if split or loose can make a difference to power.

sounds like a turbo problem. Mass air intake, or the turbine might be buggered. could explain a gutless td engine.

Unless you're seeing clouds of black smoke while it's struggling (EGR) I'd put money on it being your fuel filter blocking up and starving the pump.  When was it last changed?
