I was wandering if anyone had replaced their base carpet with Industrial type vinyl floor?
Was thinking of doing this as more hygenic and easier to clean
, especially when we go travelling in the Deli
Any experience or Ideas on this?

The floor is not even and has a foam type soundproofing insulation below the carpet, with cable looms in places.
If you have a the ECS type shock absorbers then note that the rear ones are accessed via panels in the rear below drop-down seats, which also have locating lugs bolted through the floor to lock onto.
Vinyl flooring will not fit easily over the top of the insulation.
You may find these thick neoprene type floor mats easier to use, as they can be cut to shape easily for fitting around the rear wheel arches and are simple to remove for cleaning out the sand. The top surface is plasticky for wiping down. There are six tiles to a pack with edgings:-
Available from:- http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/anti-fatigue-foam-floor-tiles-pk6/path/
I bought some for use when working under my Deli, much better than laying on the cold floor.

I did put epoxy coated plywood in. Very rugged stuff, also used for trailers, 20mm thick.
You need longer bolts for the seats then ...

Thanks for the ideas.......
Will have to look at those mats somewhere....... :?
I do have a concern about the weight that 20mm Ply might add but maybe 12mm would surfice for this particular task ? any thoughts
The vinyl type i had in mind was the industrual type used in prof kitchens (and loos) etc so maybe this would be stiff enuff to cope with the insulation???
May have to test a sample in the front smaller half...
Will have to wait a week or two as building a Fire place and decorating louge at present..........such fun i have :D _________________ Information is a Weapon of Mass Destruction, so is ignorance, so consider if you've always believed in "What Goes Around Comes Around"
