do you think if 265/75/16 would fit a standard L300 if I'm doing the torsion bar and some trimmings? found a good deal but not sure if i should get them.
(265/75/16 = 31.6x10.4/16) according to the conversion site.

THANKS!

Wilwil...

When I fitted mine they rubbed quite lot when turning and had to resort to cutting off the front mud flaps !!!! didn't have any tools with me - was on holiday )

I then had to lever a small bar forward that was holding another mud flap type thingy into a new position and now they only rub a little.....but they still rub.....not a lot....but no where near as much as first !

also forgot to mention I used a hacksaw and cut off some off the bodywork ( plastic ) behind the front of the two front tyres
didn't cut off much ( about a centimetre of plastic bodywork ) It was worth it anyway...chunky tyres now and lots of looks...

thanks notty for all ur help and the pic instruction!  :D
collected the tyres and wheels tonight, took them to Matt's house and tried to fit them, the size is actually 265/70/16 and they look massive on a non lifted L300!!. it won't even do a half lock with them on!!!  Laughing going to go back tomorrow for some modification and trimming, the metal bar in front of the front wheel for holding the the side step will have to come off, behind the front wheel it looks like about 3 cm of plastic needs to come off as well as the mud flap! will take pics tomorrow when they are fitted they are gorgeous man!!,  £150 2 months old tyres and wheels and a free pajero intercooler and a nissan patrol front bull bar (the guy said he doesn't want them anymore)!! Can't wait to try them out this Sunday!!!

No need to worry if you get caught out in flooding over winter.

The L300 will float and those tyres will act like paddles on a Mississippi steam boat!  Laughing

PS: Don't let Mark (Strangerover) near them!

thats cool notty u gonna get 16' as well? i thought ur tyres were good last time i saw them, quite a lot of cutting on plastic and metal behind the front wheels, mod of the plastic trim, front mud flaps need to go forward about an inch, plastic cutting in front of the wheels, and torsion bar adjusting. i got these because of you, i saw them on ur van last time and loved them!

I'm glad you're happy. Just be careful, they slide a lot easier as I found out a few times in the wet okay.

I won't get new ones until the new year but I'll be going for a lift as well just to **** the missus off....she doesn't want me to but I neeeed to....

remember they do slide easier okay.

All the best
