Right, in the past I have always extolled the virtues of Kwik Fit for oil changes - where else can you get 7 litres of Mobil semi-synth, and a filter, and the labour for under £30.

However, I would like to tell what happened a few weeks back. I went into my usual KF for an oil and filter change on a Delica. Watched the bloke drain old oil, replace filter, refill and all that. Handed over my money and went to drive out. The manager (good bloke called Dave) chased after me and asked me to pull back into the garage area so he could check the oil level. He noticed on the job sheet that the guy had only put 4.5 litres. Dave topped it up with a further 3 litres to get it onto the midpoint of the markings on the dipstick.

Anyway, I have just done my second oil change myself on a Delica. Genuine Mitsu filter and sump plug washer £30, almost 7.5 litres of Miller Semi Synth at £21 for 5 litres.....total £61.50!!!!! It's only about £10 more for Mitsubishi to do it!

ouch, could have been bad.

Also, overfilling the oil in a diesel can be deadly, not like a petrol where it just gets burnt off.

told you about my local kwit-fit- insisted I needed a GT type tyre despite the other 3 being M+S Rolling Eyes

pete- did you get my PM about the air filter?
