Another tenner via paypal.
This site is an invalueble resource to anyone with a Deli.
I also think it's time to think about subs and/or and initial registration fee.
I too am a LTM and am very grateful to Simon for starting/running/subsidising the club, but I get no more benefit than someone who has never contributed a penny, so I definately think a registration fee (at least ) is the way to go.
All the best Simon, good luck with the tin rattling, Jim _________________

If I'm reading that right, that's not to bad a deal for coloc services...
This site was a major influence in my getting a Deli in the first place. Such obvious enthusiasm and encouraging support makes owning a Deli even more grin inducing. If you multiply that by the number of YD clubs, thats a lot of grinning motorists!!! :D (All we need to do is start singing bars of Alices resturant, and brothers, we'll have a movement...)
I will do what I've meant for 11 months and become a lifetime member. I'll add a donation to, even if I have to parcelforce my piggybank :D
Many thanks added to heap,
Pete. |

Here's another tenner :D (paypal). Come on people we'd be lost without this site. I log on most nights for a read as i guess most of us do. This site is a wealth of information. _________________ 1996 2.8 Jasper,

Hi guys, I've just come over from another owners club, they charged £25 a year for full access to the forum and club. Fair enough there were loads of 'forum users' that were not paid up 'club members'.
Why not introduce an annual membership? The thing is, owning these motors can be a bit of a pain in my opinion as they're not run of the mill mechanically and if you don't know what you're doing these little niggles can quickly start costing you big money.
So, if i had to pay £25 a year just to have access to all the little bits of advice you guys post is more than fair.
I understand that the club isn't cheap to run and the fact you've been doing this off your own back for so long is a true testament to your commitment to the club, the owners and their motors.
I will be signing up for the LTM after the weekend, and i will send a donation to you via paypal.
As one of only 3 Deli's in the area (i think) hopefully the yellow diamond will spur them into joining.
There we go, my 2p worth.
In my opinion you should set up annual memberships.
Thanks
Richard |

Tried to send you some notes via Paypal, but for some reason down here it just keeps locking up,took me 10 attempts just to update my cards,so its a no-go,don't know how to send it otherwise apart from snail mail.

All the best from a different downunder. |

I totally agree with everything everyone else has said.
Not expecting anything for free so as soon as I got some spare pennies I will be becoming LTM.
And already have my YD's
I for one would be willing to pay an annual fee, the information and help from this club is priceless.
If I can afford it with 4 young kids, a misses, a dog and obviously a Deli with one wage coming in I'm sure MOST of the other members that use this site could afford a bit every year to help with the running of the club.
Keep up the good work Simon _________________ 1994 White High Roof L400 Exceed 7 seater.
NOTE: I would be very greatful if no one would post any pictures of my children anywhere,
I won't post pics of my kids or anyone elses so please do me the same courtesy. Thanks |

I must say as a long time member (And Moderator) of this forum that I have been very lucky with my Deli. I've had it now for nearly 6 years (1st owner in UK) and have not needed the Tech advice from MDOCUK at all mainly because the Deli has been so reliable 8-) or indeed I already knew how to deal with it. Of course I've had great help from Mark at SVS with advice etc.
But the main reason I became a life member and contributed in the past etc is because I get so much enjoyment from the social side of this club. The meets both off-roading and social along with the on-line stuff such as the Common room joke thread etc.
This can only happen with a great loyal strong membership, who contribute together to keep this the best Delica forum. Long may it continue...
