hi guys,
this may be a bit mad but if i blank off the EGR with a plate, what is there to stop me from removing the valve alltogeather and put another blanking plate at the exhaust side?
3 out of 4 of the threads in the EGR have stripped and i Can't get a seal.

will this do the engine any harm?

has anyone done this?
hope to hear from you soon.

cheers dixie........

i went out made 2 blanking plates took EGR valve and pipe to manifold off put some exhaust paste round the plates i made and put them in place of the EGR and left to harden for 30mins, let her tick over(after i adjusted my squeeling fan belts 8-) )for a while and now she is running like a sweetie again. local mitsi dealer doesn't know what a EGR to inlet manifold gasket is Shocked  Shocked after explaining it is the same as a shogun, they said it wasn't a problem as long as i gave them the chassis no of the shogun Shocked  Shocked  Shocked .
anyway can be done and not that hard.

cheers dixie.......
