How simple is it to cut the PL259 plug of one end of the co-ax cable and re-fit another?

Does it involve soldering?

Thanks
:D

Its about as difficult as doing the plug on the TV cable, soldering is required!  Wink

Depending on the plug you have currently fitted you may be able to use a soldering iron to un-fix it and then reuse the same plug.

yes it is very simple just measure the end of you coax against the PL259 plug
get your wire stripers and take off the outer coat the tease the copper braid out and then get your wire strippers again and take off the center coat off get you soldering iron and do  the end and then put your PL259 on the load the buket end of the PL259 with solder and get  side cutters and snip the end off simple Laughing
hope this helps you all

hi mate
always try to keep your coax cable at 9 feet when making your cable up as this will help with the swr as it is a 1/4 wave length. even if you go over and make the running length 18ft you can roll the cable up to make a RF choke with the cable that is left over.
