EVO engine 330 bhp stock !!
nice work !
any pics of the engine install ? |
Evo engine still go for too much money plus the 2.4 has tonnes of torque (440n/m at the moment) Also the 2.4 displacement helps spool the turbo quickly (full boost at 2500rpm) which makes it a fast street car.
I've loads of pics but again the restrictions on this site STILL won't let me post links or pictures. |

Engine looks like it was designed for the job !
I'm guessing you have thought about moving the air filter to a place were it only gets cold air ?
like how about a Snorkel ? suck in cold air and look cool
Intercooler looks nice, but would not fancy going off road in it !
Nice to see something different, normaly Delica's end up either lifted and offroad, camper converted or loads of lights !
out of interest whats the handling like ? _________________ Regards

No longer have it as had to sell....

Intercooler is in the same place as I have put mine.
I will be offroading in mine but am planning on putting some metalwork under there to protect it.
All looks very nice that though.

Absolutely no room to move the filter. With the Power steering lines and intercooler piping at this side there isn't even a spare inch on that side.
As for the handling...... Its surprisingly good. With the drop in height and the 225/50/16 rubber drives more like a car than a van. I beleive the weight on these vans is on the 2 massive chassis rails which are at the height of the wheels. So it keeps the centre of gravity really low. The roof, doors and pillars are very light and flexible (wouldn't fancy rolling it).
However add water to the equation and its a very different story. With no weight on the rear wheels its SCARY!!! Even at normal speeds it swaps ends unanounced. Keeps the reactions up |

I've just shown everyone in my office that and they still think i'm a sad *beep*, nevermind, they know not what they are talking about! Just out of interest, where did you get the wheels from, i'm guessing they are five stud? _________________ If everyone in the U.K stopped drinking tea for just one day of the year, I'm sure there wouldn't be any hosepipe bans! |
