Just found two nails in the front nearside tyre   Sad

One inn the centre of the patteren , and the other in the tread nearest the tyre wall.

The tyre only had 10lb of pressure in, so one on the buggers is thro'.

The one in the centre should be okay to repair, but if the one near the ende is thro', can it be repaired, or is there a minimum distance from the tyre wall that a repair can be done.

Can an inner tube be fitted?

I know that a lot of landys tend to have them fitted, but am not sure if its legal.

I used to have them fitted to car when i was young (long time ago  Sad )

just looked at my spare   Sad

Bridgestone Dueler 225/80R15 brand new, and the wrong size.

If i were to replace all the tyres for some nice quiet ones (99% of my driving is tarmac tbh) which one to get ?

I don't want to replace them, just thinking ahead.

Anyone got a nice spare Firestone wilderness LT235/75R15 going spare  ?

if the spare is a road biased tyre you will find its the correct diameter when fitted, standard factory issue :D

When i put the spare against the side on the others it looked about an inch and half taller.  Would it still be okay to use it if required incase of a flat.

Only in two wheel drive of course.

If so, should it be put on the front  ?

If the tyre is worth it you could always get a vulcanised repair.
The reason they won't repair a sidewall or shoulder puncture with a plug is because the sidewall flexes a lot and so the plug wouldn't seal.
A vulcanised repair should work but is a little more expensive, but if it's got plenty of tread on the tyre it may well be worth it.

Barry.

I had a vulcanised repair done in November 2006 for £16 + vat.
