Has anyone any updates or knowledge on this company? Select Marques of Thirsk.
I can't link the wesite addy because I don't have enough posts, it's selectmarques dot co dot uk
They have a '97 Jasper for sale and I'm thinking of going for a look.
Thanks

I would ring first . They and a lot of other companies have the habit of leaving their ads on the internet even when they have sold the car. I went for a run out to them and JC imports a few weeks . Even though they listed several Delicas they were all sold when I got there |

I found more choice on the Autotrader website than anywhere else when I was looking. It would be worth travelling for the right car. :D |

I've been to Select Marques and (shock, horror ) put down a deposit on a '94 Super Exeed. Very nice and clean new import. 80,000km on the digital clock.
Good God, what have I done. :? Just kidding. (I think)
Richard and Andrea were easy going and the experience was fine.
So far so good. It's early days but I can't complain so far.
There was no hassle and you were left to look over the motor in your own time. I looked at three.
I took it for a test drive (on my own) and it felt nice. I pointed out one or two minor problems and I was assured they would be seen to before I collected it.
I will let you know if they are as good as their word.
I just have to wait for a couple of weeks whilst it gets registered, serviced, ect.
:D |

Thanks Dave. :D
I hate buying motors, you always think of stuff when it's too late, it's a nervous time.
I'll post on here how things go. Good or bad.
So far it's all good.

Collected the Delica today. :D [big stupid grin] :D
I've only done about 40 miles but Man, what a car!!!!! :D It knocks spots of the old Pajero.
No hassle, no 'ifs or buts'. All the jobs were done just as Richard & Andrea said they would.
Even got two new front tyres.
Time will tell but I am well pleased.
I can certainly recommend this dealer from my experience so far.
PS: The dogs love the Deli too. _________________ 1994 L400 SE (Black)

glad you got sorted bob, I've had mine 1 month now and cannot fault it, after the first week the alternator went on mine, I rang richard at select marques, next day a new alternator arrived at my front door, i took it to my local garage who fitted it and billed richard, sorted no problem whatsoever |

Well, so far you've not been wrong Dave, thanks for the encouragement. :D
I think mine has had a new alternator, it certainly looks looks new, the copper winding and the pulley is shiney.
Mind you, the engine bay is spotless. The whole car looks far younger than it's 13 years.
And just for a change (for me) everything works.
It may not be the cheepest Delica I looked at but it's certainly the best by far and well worth the cost.
I hate buying cars but this time it was a good and easy experience. :D _________________ 1994 L400 SE (Black)
