Are you by any chance heading for the Torwood near Three Lochs, for a bit of clay pigeon hunting? _________________

sorry for the delay in replying lewis ,no won't be shooting at torwood although we have been there for a cuppa and a spot of lunch a few times (guy loves red setters, even got a three legged one)
nice people,nice food
we will be stalking(hunting in any other un pc place) on a few places, high mark and artfield fell by new luce or glenhapple north of newton stewart as we are part of a sindicate with shooting rights over about 4500 acres of land :D _________________ d5 running on lpg |

The owner is called David, and he is one heck of a good chef.
He originally had four Red Setters, all bitches:- Remè, Brown, Rainbow and Brook. One was run over and died a long time ago. The three legged lurcher, Sam, was a rescued dog and he was jealous of any male dogs that went in the pub and often went for any that took an interest in 'his ladies'. Sadly all have now passed on.
I used to get up there 5-6 times a year but have not been for about 3 years. I was going to go over to Port William a few weeks back but events took a different track and it was not to be. I will get there sometime though. _________________

Why don't we all reply with our general areas and see if we can get somewhere central for a meet.Once we get that established,we could then sort out dates and possibly invites to the pocuk crew as well, nice to be nice! |

Redid this as the site filter seemed to think the correct name for a female dog was offensive! _________________

its been raining very heavily here for the last 18hrs, so we just went out to check out the fords, and another unadopted road that floods sometimes wow! never seen them so high! the two fords were impassable, the road was fine one way, but by the time we came back (1/2 hr) the floods had risen considerably.
in view of this, its would seem that drumclog is not such a good idea this weekend, its very wet there at the best of times, so it will just be a no go.
