Hi yet more questions,
feels like I should give up my job and just work on my Delica full time, and thanks for the suggestions, I'm still working on the smoke, but haven't played with the fuel pump mixture screw yet. Had the instrument panel off, instead trying to work out why some of the light s aren't working, 2 blown bulbs and 1 I'm not sure of yet.
Question 1
The Russeks manual for L300 page 113 shows a series of air ducts to the air filter, Air duct marked number 3 on the diagram appears to be missing.
Like a good boy scout, I went along to the local mitsi dealer with the chasis number and the russek manual, there computer said there was no data for such a part, the dealer said that indicates it was never fitted to this model.
So I thought okay - and went on my way.
However, on further checkingt the duct marked number 4 is fitted and apparently alive and well, living under the front drivers side wheel arch.
So having pondered this for a while, I have thought why have duct numbers 2 and 4 being fitted yet no number 3 connecting them.
duct number 2 is a plastic pipe, duct number 4 is an oblong box under a wheel arch.
can anybody with an L300 have a quick look under the drivers seat to see if they have a duct connecting the one under the wheel arch to the connectiing the one directly attaching to the air cleaner assembly.
Also the air conditioner is not working and according to the owners manual there should be some small bubbles in the inspection window under the passenger side carpet - well there are none so I assume that I need to take it in to an air condition specialist or a main dealer.
any suggestions in the bury st edmunds, sudbury - suffolk area.
thanks for all the support so far, Without your help I would of been pulling my hair out, If I had any. These vehicles are a bit more complicated than I thought, I thought you just got in them, drove them to see how close you could get to putting them on their side with out actually doing it.
get my motor bike back from the garage soon, just had a new engine fitted blew a big end, just thought, what a relief it will be to go for a burn on the bike, then remembered I'm going to have to run it in. _________________ 93 Delica glx, with teething problems

had mine gassed up recently with a synthetic replacement for the 'mustard gas' they used to use. as for conversion i was quoted £135, my advice is get it converted as i paid about £90 for a gas up and wish he told me about the conversion first as a regas in the future would cost me half as much. |

East Anglia Radiator Services, Bury St Edmunds. have quoted me £90 for regassing with the substitute for R12 and serviceing of the air conditioning, When I suggested a conversion to R134a, they said the conversions can cause more problems than their worth so recommended I did not have the conversion, even though they could do it.
So anyway I've booked mine in on Thursday, for the regassing. _________________ 93 Delica glx, with teething problems

Have to agree with mark.giles in that the duct part 3 is missing on our L300 as well
As for the AC regassing...we need to do this to!!!!!
Hope it doesn't cost TOO much
