Anyone know anything about this lot, based at Southampton? Nothing on the POCUK dealers list that I could see. Their website looks nice and shiny(but don't they all?) and they seem to have a few Deli's on offer.

Last time I looked the word "expensive" sprang to mind. Just looked again and £7495 for a 95 Super Exceed - so no change there. Same can be had from JC Imports and many others for around £6000.

Many of the things included in higher price motors are not necessarilly of much benefit -

For example

1. a warranty full of wear and tear exclusions,

2. a BIMTA "certificate of authenticity" (a vehicle can't leave Japan without being properly deregistered and Interpol checked, and it can't be registered without DVLA confirming the authenticity of the paperwork and carrying out another Interpol check, and how much effort is it to re-check by looking that the VIN number on the reg doc matches the vehicle),

3. BIMTA mileage certificate - again doesn't mean much when you see vehicles with mileage certificates and ODOs saying 50000 miles (80000km) with knackered seats, steering wheels and so on. The mileage covered by most of these is irrelevant - said before 40000 stop/start town miles is far more stressful on the car than 100000 out of town miles!

I thought they looked a bit pricey but right now I'm forced to do most of my hunting on the net and they just happened to come up during a search on the Autotrader website. Guess you haven't found me anything yet? (Did I mention that I've dropped the LWB requirement?)

Andy, I've got my supplier in Japan looking for a 96/97/98/99 ones for sensible money right now. Didn't realise the LWB requirement had gone!

Sorry 'bout that. Thought I'd told you but I might've dreamt it! Bit busy lately what with the new arrival and what have you. Asking around they do seem to be kind of thin on the ground and, whilst I'm not in a tremendous hurry, I'd like to get one as soon as reasonably possible. Given the smallish gains in terms of space, I thought I'd see what's out there in the way of SWB's. All my other requirements remain (I can e-mail them back if you want). That's not to say a LWB wouldn't still be acceptable... Smile
