Hi Gary,
A while ago you posted about doing your ball joints and said you could give a description so as us numbskulls could do theirs without a load of aggro.
Did you do this, or otherwise I wouldn't mind a brief run down as I need to do the top ones on mine. I also need to do the lower wishbone bushes. Any advice here? Grrr.
Cheers, Rob |

Ahh forgot::
The only other question arising is;
There seem to be different types of top ball joint around on different vehicles???
...no, two questions;
The ones from independent suppliers are of one type, which won't fit many or any of the L400's?
....errr no, three questions;
Have any been found which do fit,other than the £45 Main Dealer items?
Cheers,
Rob |

Hi,Had to do the lower wishbone rubbers for mot,quite straightforward,just remember to mark the camber maks before you take the bolts out . we undid the two wishbone bolts,suspension,4 at wheel and one other i Can't remember name of :? had to use heat on old rubber to get out and some lubrication on new one to ease fitting.First one took about 1 1/2hr but once we had sussed the best way second took 3/4hr.Local garages wanted £100 just to fit! |
