Take a look for a post by Old Skool Beat and click on his name which will bring up his profile and then you can pm him. Any problems let me know as I have his email address but I won't post it here for obvious reasons. I'm sure he will be along soon anyway and reply to you.... He's certainly got a hell of a system in his Deli tho Wink

Abingdon Wink http://www.MDOCUK.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1079

Hi ya,
I'll be at Abingdon at the end of Sept for the weekend Wink with a few from MDOCUK and loads from pocuk 8)
Its a good weekend and I'll be there showing off the system Rolling Eyes

I used to have a Clarion DVD head unit (model VRX928RVD) but found it hard to master :? and when the volume packed up after 6 months they offered me a secondhand unit as a replacement Evil or Very Mad (after they had it in repair for 10 weeks Evil or Very Mad )
I then ended up with a brand new replacement after a few choosen words Wink
Now this may have been a one off fault but sold it all the same Rolling Eyes

I find the Kenwood an excellent unit, easy to master and with the added bonus of being double din and steering a wheel remote Wink
and cheeper than the Clarion Shocked

I've got Clarion 5" screens fitted to the headrests, the size of the screens are limited because the size of the headrests Rolling Eyes

Sorry aint got any pictures at present but will do some Wink

Hope you can make Abingdon :D

Hi Oldskool,

Looks like we had the same problem, just got rid of the clarion as it cost me an arm and a leg when it packed up. Got it repaired and sold.

The Kenwood should be here soon, as for the screens, not to sure just yet, did you use a spliter to run the 2 extra screens or do they just plug in the head unit, also have you run the sound for the rear screens through the normal speakers or have you gone down the head set route.

Last question, (Can tell I had a Clarion, always just one more question) have you run an amp off the head unit at all?

Cheers Ray

Hi again Ray,
Now you've got me started Rolling Eyes Laughing

My system was going to be mainly Clarion gear so most of the other bits are (you've guessed it) Clarion

The system all runs back to a multizone a/v switcher http://www.raysmith.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=318
Its basicly got 4 audio/video inputs and 3 audiou/video outputs

On the 4 inputs;
1. DVD Head unit
2. DVD/CD/Mp3 Multichanger
3. Playstation
4. Input for Aux source (camera etc)

On the 3 outputs;
1. DVD head unit
2. Left rear screen
3. Right rear screen

This way any source can be switched easily from any monitor Wink
It also means that the sound from any of the 4 sources can be played through the head unit if source number 1 is selected from the head unit itself :? (confused yet or just bored Laughing Laughing )

If souce 1 is not selected the sound goes through to the Infra red headphones of which can be switched from the headset to receive the sound from either the left or right monitor, this way 3 different sound sources can be played through the system at once :?

As for running an amp off the head unit, I've got a 5:1 processor with 3 amps connected,
1 x 4 channel output and 2 x single channel outputs.

Its a bit of a hobbie Wink
Also fitted is a good alarm system and a Tracking device Wink

If I can be of any help give me some more questions 8)
Full demo avaliable at Abingdon Laughing
If you hear the 5:1 you'll want one for your headunit :D
