Hi all

The OEM battery on me truck finally died a good'un the other day, so needed replacing. Mine is the single battery version on a 2.8TD.
Looked up Exide Technologies "Global Leaders in Stored Electrical Energy" (batteries to you and me !) - I had seen the L400 MPV listed on their N.Zealand site, so decided to contact the UK division and emailed them.

http://www.exide.com

Their reply was quick and told me that the battery I required was a

W250SE - This is 700CCA (Cold Crank Amps) and 90A/Hr battery

I popped into my local battery/exhaust type place and they had them on the shelf at only £59.98 inc VAT & 3yr guarantee.
They also had a variant which is identical except that the battery base has a small 'lip' for vehicles whose batteries 'latch' into the tray.
This is a W337SE. - Price was the same and it still fits the Delica's battery tray.

I just thought I'd let you know - Far quicker and still cheaper than mail order !

Additional battery info supplied by hairyben

If anyone's looking to buy a new replacement battery, banner 600-33 fit's like a glove and is rated 680 CCA/ 100Ah/ 4 yr guarantee.

And it's got a mad raving bull on it!:

If anyone else has the exact model numbers of batteries that fit post them here for other's reference, cos I was given the runaround by some total jokers yesterday in my desperate search for power. Reading two ratings off the label on the battery seems to be beyond some peoples capability
