Hi I don,t know about the fuel, the fuel filter was blocked solid, something must of got into the system from before my owner ship, The only fuel I use is france diesel, much better at around 45 pence a litre, I travel there A lot and bring diesel back by jerry cans, I have not used UK fuel for years far to expensive, a total rip off, a bit like the rest of the UK realy. anyway the new bits are on order and as I said the landrover is standing in okay for the time being. thanks wendy, O bye the way boys, I am all girl ;-)

hmmm i have a similar problem which I'm baffled on
we had the seals done under warranty but about 4 days later we filled her up and she started running awfull misfires holding back lots of black smoke then she goes okay for a while then runs pants again

so i did a quick coke can job on egr valve and halfed smoke output

but still every so often it runs at about half power and misses a beat or two ?????
i am sure its overfuelled hence smoke but saying as its had diesel pump done i dunno what to try next?

Sorry to hear about your faults. did the car run okay before the work was done on the pump??? In your case it maybe that the garage have not timed the pump up right, or it,s moved. Take it back to them and say A LOOK WHAT YOU HAVE DONE. The balls in their court. I can,t say I am very happy with these delicas, far to many faults on them and rubbish MPG. I maybe selling mine soon if the land rover keeps trucking
