Hi thincan91,
There are a few non oem air filters available i believe altho limited performance ones here on the uk,over in australia there seems to be a few diffrent foam lifetime filters available, there is also a K&N variant available here in the uk,its really a case of hunting the suppliers and finding out if the supply a performance filter for either the 2.8 pajero or the Delica (the filters should be identical)but the pajero seems to be more widely available than the Delica, you could try looking over at the australian Delica club site theres a link at the top of the page, hope this helps atb

The part No for K&N filter is E-2877 and most accessory shops will be glad to order for you at approx £45 or Halfords Evil or Very Mad will DO you one for over £55, so you takes your pick!!

I can tell you from experience that the Unifilter model ULT290S available from www.uniflow.com.au for around 25 pounds (posted) is probably the best OEM replacement you can buy. They are a foam filter and can be reused over and over again. Cheers, Dean.

Dean, don't suppose you know if they'd be happy to ship to UK do you?
Also, I assume the L400 filter same as Paj 2.8 as L400 not listed?

Hi Pete, The L400 filter is different from the Pajero. Send an enquiry email to Unifilter from their website. I know they send them to Japan so I can't see why they won't send one to the motherland. If they won't Ill get you one and mail it myself. The filter is flat and sits on top of the supporting rim in the box. Postage should be next to nothing. The oil used to recharge the filter is like a combination of regular oil and STP type additive. Make it up so it gets nice and sticky. You won't be able to get their oil in the post. I make up my own using the above formula and it works a treat. Cheers, Dean.

I emailed the 'distributors' of these filters over here, but they don't seem interested......... :?

I think I'll take your advice dean and email the organ grinders rather than the monkies.........

Ginja, that'll be Scooby Mania then? I tried them a while back and it's a no go.
What I've done is just got in touch with the MD of Unifilters and asked if, as a bona fide trader, I can get a stock of them (like several hundred pounds worth) shipped over for Delica L300 and L400, Pajero 2.5 and 2.8, and all the sports cars I deal with as well. Scooby Manias too far away seeing as I'm a southerner!

That's the ones pete

I too have emailed Unifilter to see if they will ship direct to Blighty.

But if your little 'dealership' takes off, I'm sure the filters would be at a much better discounted price Wink

I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Cheers

Deandownunder - your filter oil recipe....I tried Motul engine oil and STP sort of stuff yesterday and it didn't seem very sticky. What stuff and how much of each did you use?
The other thing - this is mad....Unifilter CAN post me a load of bottles of filter oil as I'm outside Australia. How mad is that - laws are bonkers...

I use K&N filter oil and cleaner.

You can get it from any good motorcycle shop.

Cleaning instructions can be found here........

Don't know if that K&N stuff is meant for foam filters so I've always used Putoline foam filter oil cos it's good n sticky. Only trouble is it's coloured blue so if you use it on a yellow filter you end up with a greenie and if you use it on a red one you end up with a purple one Laughing I'll find out a cost getting the Unifilter one sent over as it's export cost + taxes here is far less then the Putline or K&N.

A 5sec squirt around the internerd and I found this lot

http://www.motorshack.com/acatalog/Foam_Filter_Oil.html

£6 for 1 or £54 for 10.

Otherwise Putoline is a good choice - as you MX boys know ! 8)
