Foreign Car Spares, 166 Parkfield Rd, Birmingham

They have given me a good quote on a replacement sliding door for my L400 (even say they have a white one) but don't want to waste my time and money driving to Brum if they are no good.

Any opinions?

Thanks

IanJ

I'm off up to look at the doors tomorrow, will let everyone know what the company is like.

At least when I asked for Delica spares they didn't say "never heard of it" and actually asked if it was a 2.5. or 2.8, so at least they seem to know what they're at.

Unfortunately the white one is damaged, so does anyone know a good reasonably priced paint shop in the Bristol area that's good at colour matching?

If its the same one I dealt with last year (its in part of Redditch, Birmingham) then they are very good at getting you bits, they also do a delivery service. Smile

Worthwhile trip, but damned hard to find the place!!! (I think this trip may gave persuaded me to get SatNav)

Once we got there had a poke around and found a stock of Deli doors (front, rear and side), had look through the side doors and was quite disapponted as all either had significant damage or the beginnings of rust where mine's rotting.

Was about to give up when one of the guys said "oh those ain't the good ones, their over here". Found a further 3 sliding doors, all in pretty good nick, got one with no rust, only slight surface scratching and one very small dint (got to get it painted any way, so those won't matter). Carried it away for £94 complete with door card, handles, the lot!

If anyone is in the area I'd suggest it's worth a look as they seem to have bits from at least 10 dead Delis, including chrome bull bars and an aftermarket bar that looked dead nice too.

Cheers

IanJ

Hi Ian

Did they have any L300 stock or only L400?

Might be worth making a note of if they have!

:D

I found a link to these guys.
http://foreigncarspares.com/

Ordered a chrome bullbar. £105 including VAT and delivery.
Arrived next day. Laughing Laughing Laughing
It had a small dent and scrape on the bottom corner that i was not happy about as i had asked if there was any damage when i ordered them. Sad
Sent them an email, and followed up with a call the following day.
They sent out a fine replacement and picked up the damaged one within two working days.
I'm well pleased and would recommend them for a fine service. Laughing Laughing Laughing
Thanks Ian. Laughing Laughing Laughing
Dave.
