Greetings to all.

I a really hoping for some help on this one, my expansion tank has grown a leak, its the usual ol thing, its discoloured, and now very fragile!

Genuine Mitzy L400, £105+ the dreaded... ouch.

Does anyone have any suggestions of a replacement that isn't so expensive?

And before anyone say's it,i know thats A lot cheaper than a cooked engine!

Unfortunately matey there isn't really any alternitive but to buy a new one,its a waste of time and money buying one from a breakers as it will probably be the same as the one thats gone,as you've said rightly its cheaper then a new engine!!!! rik posted a thing up quoting 98.00 + vat and posting and to be honest i don't think you will get one cheaper anywhere else, hope u get it sorted mate

What with all the different size pipes coming out of the expansion tank and also the shape to which it fits to the inner wing, I would say it would be difficult to find one that will fit other than the original Sad

I bit the bullet and brought a Mits one last year, did have a look at some others but thought it might end up being a faulse economy Shocked

if the Kingston deal is 98.00 [as suggested above]+vat and presumably postage, that still makes the current offer on ebay cheaper.Assuming the 98
.00 figure is correct of course.

You may find the eby ones are actually shipped from australia and in which case could incur cistoms charges as one member has already found with different items, just a word of warning!!!

8) Super bright bit of under bonnet bling!! Would definitely invest in one having heard the horror stories that have befallen members - and one that is so shiny deserves space under our bonnets! Wink

whilst rummaging around my local wreckers the othier day in search of a part for a toyota camry,my thoughts turned to the expansion tank situation having booted a couple that were laying on the floor, and in my humble opinion i reckon there are loads that could be made to fit with very little effort,by which i mean simple brackets i mean an expansion tank is an expansion tank nothing special Rolling Eyes as long as the inlet bores the same and of simaler size capacity what the hell,i noticed most pressure caps were right for the job,you can get a brand new one for a rangerover on that site for £30 so why pay £95 to 150 for a Deli one they are not well made me thinks :D
