Local garages to me in East Devon wouldn't touch my L400 when I suspected the timing chain was going, those that did speak talked in the £thousands.
Sent a video of the engine to Fils Pajero's at Totton/Southampton and he said very much sounds like timing chain.
I didn't want to drive it the 100 miles or so, so I called the AA (Homestart/relay) who agreed the timing chain and organised a truck to take it to Southampton, in just less than two weeks after ordering the wrong timing chain etc
it was ready for collection.
Train strike prevented me getting there, but went on Sunday and picked up my Delica and drove it home - VERY HAPPY
not only with the work been done, but the price as well.
SO BIG CHUCK UP TO FILS PAJERO's
