|
|
Hello, I'm from Spain, and I have a Mitsubishi Space Gear!
I'm looking for the swivel base of the middle bench that some L400 models like the chamonics, the Japser, etc... had, but I can't find one... Does anyone know where could I buy one? or if anyone is selling one I would be more than happy to buy it.
Also, does anyone knows if the base rotates 90º to both sides or just to the left side?
Thank you very much. |

hi, it doesn't need to be a chamonix/jasper or any special edition to have the swivelling middle bench that is fitted in a 7/8 seater. I don't think it will swivel 360; it will go from forward facing, swing anti-clockwise to near-side facing, then further to backward facing. It wouldn't be possible to move it further anti-clockwise because you have the front seats blocking it from turning further.
As for where to buy a swivel base, try breakers? Do you have any breakers in Spain that specialise in mitsu Deli's/Pajero's?
Hope you find one. |

Hi, Thanks for your answer.
It is impossible to find this base in Spain, I been trying to find one for many months now, and I know that there is a lot of vans with this base in UK, but I couldn't find any Breaker that has it, also most of them are asking me for the part number and I don't know which part number it is. Do you know? Can you recommend me any breaker in UK that may have it so I can try to contact them? Thank you. |

Hi
Just to clarify things a little.
Do you have a Delica that is missing the bench seat, or are you wanting to replace the twin seats in a Delica with the bench seat ? _________________

So basically I have the Spanish version of the Delica which is the mitsubishi Space Gear, it has a bench seats in the middle that are 2 seats + 1. But I saw that most of the delicas in UK has the same bench but that bench is swivle, so I’m looking for the swivel base in order to put it on my bench so they can rotate as well.
Hope this clarifies a bit. Thanks! |

All the L400 Delica's are called a Space Gear.
They only come with two centre seat setups, plus a rear triple seat, that lift up to store away as two seats
1. A seven seater - Two independent seats, which swivel.
2. An Eight seater - A double bench seat, plus a drop down seat, by the open door end. This is also a swiveling seat.
There is a L400 Crew Bus, which has 10 seats, in a minibus format, nopt of which swivel.
If you look at this post, which has photos, it gives you a clearer idea, then you can work out which seating you have:-

Hi, I have the second one, a 2 seat bench plus a dropdown one, but in Spain or in Europe in general, this bench is not swivel, so ai’m looking for the swivel base of this bench. Do you know any UK breaker that may have one? Thanks. |

Try this company, in Rotherham, South Yorkshire:- https://www.mitzybitz.com/
I know they post to Spain, as they sent me replacement parts, to Xixona, when I broke down out there. _________________

Thank you very much. Also do you know the part number of the entire swivel base? Or maybe I will have to buy the entire bench…
Thank you. |

Are you sure that you don't have the levers on your seat to swivel it? What base does it have?
It just seems very odd because its a japanese car, no made for export, and, like Lewis says, all the 7/8 seater benches swivel, and have all the levers for tilting/swiveling built into the seats themselves.
Do you think you might have the base, but its swivel is seized? Does the bench slide back and forth?
I hope you can find the parts if not. Good luck. |

Hey, yes I’m sure, unfortunately it does not swivel, in fact all the people that I know with the same can in Spain doesn’t swivel either. We have some kind of a heater under the bench, that you can activate. And yes the seats can be slide front and back but not swivel
I’m not sure how to put a picture here, but look at this van (this is the serie 2 and mine is the serie 1) but the interior is exactly the same: ( seems that I can’t put the link either so I you will have to put the htt… and the w before the link and remove the spaces and put the dot in order to see the website)

I sent a mail to the suggested breaker, but if you know more breakers please send me the contact, they don’t need to have the service to send it to Spain because I can book the service to ship it.
I also will try to find other parts that are almost impossible to find in spain:
The swivel bench
Wheel arches
Bull bar
Dash pod with the inclinometer working
Front windows air deflectors
And not that important but if I can the right front wing (as mine should be changed)
Thanks! |

Ah! The penny Drops!
I suspect you have one of the XR or XG basic LHD Models, which were imported into and sold in Germany.
Looking at your, you may also need to buy the floor glide tracks. If you don't have them then you will need to fit strengthening plates, with captive nuts.
You will need to get the complete unit. And the link I gave earlier is still worth trying.
RE: Bullbar.
Before you buy one first check that yopu have the required mounting points on the chassis and front panel.
See this post for more info and photos:- http://www.MDOCUK.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?p=369553
RE: Field Monitor unit (on Dashboard).
Again before you purchase one, ensure you have the electric looms and connector under your dash tray.
There are three types of loom
1. A twin connector is for the type using internal and external themperature sensors and an electronic Compass.
See this post for more info, with photos:- http://www.MDOCUK.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=50562
2. A single Cable is for the type showing internal and external temperature sensors.
3. One showing four corner parking/ collision sensors.
I suspect your model will not have the required looms and neither can be retrofitted, without removing the complete dash unit, with extensive mods to the cable looms, which you will need to purchase.

Thanks for your info, my current dashpod has an inclinometer, out and in temperature and the battery voltage, but the inclinometer is broken, that is why I’m looking for a replacement.
Thanks! |
