some thing is wrong with my roof.....
got it closed finaly...
it opened fully made a clank / clunk noise from over my head while driving. Odd thinks I.
Later go to close it and it will not close fully.... very odd thinks I.
It got as far as the tilt setting and would not close, then it did but not fully.
Had a close look and the passenger side was further closed than the drivers so the roof was at a slight angle (if that makes sense)
After a day driving off road and all the banging that gave I finaly tried it and it shut.
So now I'm not opening it, but something definately clicked / clonked when opening and also when it finaly closed right....
aNY ideas ? is it simple enough to swap a whole unit from a breakers yard ?
thanks in advance for help. _________________ Regards

Hi,
Sounds like what happened to mine the day I got the Deli.
I took out the interior light so I could see the motor and bracket. I could also see two screws that were loose. I tightened these up and it's been fine ever since.
I've heard/read that there are three screws but you have to drill a hole in the bracket to be able to get a screwdriver on it.
If you take the interior light out, I'm sure you'll see what I mean.
Hope that helps.

Hi again,
I think you'll find Lewis is your man re cogs and sunroofs. I know he offered to do one for someone else (foxy?) recently if they had been nearer.
Give him a shout.

Hi Steve! How's it going in sunny Alicante I'm looking to be heading back there soon on a bit of a military Historical journey, following part of the route taken by my old regiment and the Duke of Wellington during the Peninsular wars. Probably heading across the top of Spain to Corunna and Portugal and down to Zaragoza and Valencia on the way home, via Cuenca.
I've also got a trip to Agincourt, the Somme Battlefield and Paris from the 7th of May, though this time as part of a larger coach party from our Regimental Association.
There is no need to e-mail you the stuff I sent to Mark, as he sent me some photo's he took whilst doing his, suggesting I did a write up. I have therefore combined his piccies and rejigged my instructions into a more condensed form (a piccy is worth a thousand words).
So it is now in the Top Tips section:- http://www.MDOCUK.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?p=100221#100221
I hope that it makes sense and proves useful. :D _________________

I had this issue and miracle of all miracles it just fixed itself...sorry it doesn't help but just saying. It was something I was prepared to live with as the fix seemed far to much aggro compared to the noise and having to click the button to stop it everytime. |
