Does anybody know how the rear wiper arm is removed on an L400 ,the reason being is that I have a ladder impeding my wiper assembly and  I really need to take the whole arm off to fathom out how to replace the blades.
  Thanks

Thanks very much Lewis but its fast on no doubt never been taken off from new. I tried carefully pouring boiling water on it but to no avail. It looks from your pic that it’s thin plastic but it is well and truly stuck! I have tried WD40 but I doubt whether it will penetrate inside the dome.

Spoke too soon I have managed to get it off Lewis after a bit of a struggle but was surprised to see underneath that it looked like a battery terminal with all the grey corrosion anyway I have got it off now, had it not been for the ladder I think I could have replaced it in situ but its all done now.  About two years ago we replaced the rocker box gasket and half moons, blow me the front half moon is now leaking a lot can’t believe it as we double proofed sealants when replacing.
    Thanks again Mate.
