This may sound like a silly question, but where will I find the fuel filter on the 6G72 engine? it isn't as obvious as with the 4M40 diesel.

I bought a new unit from Mitzibitz, and would like to fit it.

Thanks.

You need to take the battery out and it’s hiding behind it

Thanks.
I could see a unit of some sort there, but it didn't look obviously like the filter (although it is located close to where the diesel filter sits). I guess the filter is inside that black housing?

When I feel like heaving out the battery, I will do the job. I know the precautions.....I've had an expansion bottle outlet broken by a professional garage in the past, and the small connection to the radiator also broken by a garage. We know how they become fragile over time.

Don’t think mine was in a housing but may be wrong.  Simple to change though

Petrol filter is hidden behind battery . Bosch type F5914
You need 10mm 12mm and 19mm spanners
19mm socket
14 mm flare nut spanner (hex ring spanner with slot for pipe
Hammer , bottom joint can be tight, and tapping spanner beats brute force

Good info Skiorsail, but I've a feeling JimmyG would have done it by now, considering he asked two years ago!  scratch
