Are you not sick of fuel pumps now? I am and haven't gone as far as you!

I don't want to p1ss on your parade Yoza but thats not the cold idle adjustment  Shocked

There are two adjustment screws on the cold start linkage, the one you show above and another thats lower down (Can't be seen on your pic) when the pump is fitted to the engine.

The one you highlighted will alter the cold run idle BUT its main purpose is to alter the cold run injector pump timing.

These pumps advance injector pump timing when the engine sare cold to aid cold running, if you look ad the cold start device you will see a crank pin that goes inside the injector pump and fits into a gap in the pump mechanism this turns as the device heats up altering the pimp timing mechanism inside the pump, altering this adjustment means your altering your cold run pump timing, something i did first time around about 1o years ago then wondered why it was gutless when cold?

The other adjustment on the linkage (Can't see it in your pic) alters ONLY  the cold run idle speed and this is the one to alter if you want to increase/decrease the cold run idle speed  Very Happy

And mark you are not pi55ing on my parade, but I wonder whether you read my post, I said the screw shown alters the advance and retard of the pump, which it does.

No need to apologise- I do ramble on a bit, so the important bits can get fogged by the waffle.
