Hi,

My AC compressor is goosed, how hard is it too remove so I can see if it's just the bearings and should I have done it whilst I had the fuel pump out!
Cheers, Andy

It is easier with the pump out, but can be done without too much difficulty.

ear in mind that removing it entails disconnecting the aircon pipes, which should only be done at an authorised place, to capture the gasses.

Then it is just the electrics to disconnect and the brackets.

NB: It’s heavy.

Mine is empty of gas anyway, it leaked out a long time ago so that won't be an issue.

The one that's fitted struggled to turn and slipped the belt a lot; in the end I took the belt off to stop me turning it on by mistake in the early days.

Now it's whether to try reconditioning the old pump, fit a second hand one or fork out for a new one as I'm tired of the heat in the summer!

Andy
