|
|
My previous L400 became uneconomical to repair so I've been without one for the last couple of years, but I've sourced a virtually rust free solid example but it's an eight seat bench version.
The other half is already miffed about the loss of the sun & crystallite roof and the seats will be a deal breaker if I can transfer the captain seats to the new vehicle!
I'm a mechanic /fitter so I've bolted a few different seats in and understand the forces involved with seat mounts and why rivnuts and tech bolts are not sufficient despite what some people say.
I'm hoping it's a fairly straightforward process but deap down I know it's not going to be.
I hope my instinct is wrong 🙏 |

Thanks for the link, sounds like it should be okay, I just wondered if I'd have to flatten the contours on the floor pan. Would of been nice if the captive nuts were universal on all the floors 👍 |

Here the floor after it's been stripped, I'm hoping for a universal floorpan molding so the contours are in the right place, even if the encapsulated nuts are missing.
undressed contours :o)
