I have a horrible squealing when in reverse.  To me it sounds like the pads were getting low but when I have checked them there is plenty of meat left.

Any ideas?

Are the pads moving freely? They could be sticking making a noise when reversed....

There's also the handbrake drum brake inside the rear wheels, can get dirt/debris stuck in there.

Like CS Monkey, above, I would suggest checking the parking brake shoes are checked and adjusted if necessary.

See this post for more info and a 'how to':- http://www.MDOCUK.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=36472
