There's a number of post on how to fit an after market keyless locking unit but little info of rigging up the folding mirrors as well.
(That's if you've got them)
I've done the latter and thought others might be interested.

The unit that operates them is MB852142 and is hidden away on the inner lefthand sidewall behind the glovebox.
You need to release the glovebox stops, let that swing to the floor, then peer in to the left.
Mine was hidden behind some wiring looms.

Unfortunately this unit is only supplied with power when the ignition key is switch on.
(No good for remote operation)

I took a feed off of the Hazard Warning Switch supply and use that to replace the existing feed.
(I also used this for the keyless control unit)

Next, the unit needs a positive trigger pulse to operate.
My keyless control unit has a negative "connect" when the "Trunk" button is pressed.
I used that to trigger a relay that then supplied the positive trigger pulse to the folding mirror unit.

Everything works fine.

Pulling together info from other posts regarding the wiring for locking.
I accessed the wiring loom to the door by removing the panel beside the drivers right foot.
I bared about 10mm of each wire then soldered my "extension lead" to them.
BTW If you've got ECS you need to unscrew that and pull it away to get to the door loom.

My keyless control unit has two feeds for operating the indicator light.
Some only have one and in that instance you you need to split using a couple of diodes.

I remember following your first remote locking thread a million years ago, mine is still working. 👍

Thanks for the update.😀

Thanks, Yoza.

I see my diagram isn't showing.
I can't remember how to set them up.

That link doesn't work.

First it told me I need to sign into my google account, then after doing so it told me I've no access to Google photos.  Shocked

That itself is wierd as I have a full Google account, that is paid for monthly, which includes Google photos!  Confused

To use the [img]  [/img] coding, the link would be one that had .jpg or .png or .gif at the end.

I can't understand why these sites don't give me a direct link to the jpg file.
Anyway, if anyone wants the diagram, PM me with an email address and I'll send it.

In the meantime I'll describe the connections.

You'll need to disconnect the battery before you start.

On the back of the hazard warning plug you'll see a red lead. this is the one you splice into for the feed.
Above it, beside the groove, are the two wires that feed the r/h and l/h indicators.
You'll need to splice into these and connect the relevant two wires from the keyless control unit.
(If you've only one lead from your unit you'll need to divide that into two with blocking diodes).

Your red feed from the hazard warning plug has to supply the keyless control unit, the relay to trigger the folding mirror unit, and that unit itself.

On the folding mirror plug there's a red lead. that has to be cut and replaced with the above feed.

Next the relay.
Use the feed from the hazard warning unit to supply the trigger coil and the relay switch.
Connect the other side of the trigger coil to the negative "feed" for "trunk" operation on the keyless control unit.
Connect a wire to the 'Normally Open" output side of the relay switch and then splice the other end to the lone Brown/White wire on the folding mirror plug.

That's it Shocked  Rolling Eyes  Very Happy

Connect up the battery and all should work fine cheers

It's because Amazon do not store the images as a .jpg format image file, therefore you have to use a url code to see the link.

See this post I created in November 2006 for more info:- http://www.MDOCUK.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12958

Good man, Yoza Very Happy

Lewis, I did read your post beforehand, bookmarked it for the future, and resized the photo.
As you state, Amazon and it seems Google, do not store photos as jpg's.

I was with Photobucket but they recently started asking something like $2 a month to allow sharing Evil or Very Mad

Are there any free sites that offer "traditional" ways of storing photos?

Yes!  Very Happy

I use:-  https://cubeupload.com/

Unfortunately, unlike p'bucket, they don't have the facility to create separate folders, so you can group photos.

Thanks Lewis.
For the few photos I need to share I don't need groups.
