Hello
I had a look around but couldn't find the answer.
I recently got an expensive price for a stainless steel exhaust of £550-£600. The guy said this included the catalytic converter and the lifetime guarantee for a crossflow exhaust.
Do I actually need one? Or a DPF?
My land rover had a straight pipe through to the back box and it never failed its emissions test.
I'm assuming that the pre 51 plate emissions rules still apply to a 96 P red 2.8td?

Pre 2003 Diesel - it doesn't require a Cat or a DPF for the 96 model.
This is the stainless one on my 99 model Series 1, fitted by Tony Banks, in Leeds, for £260:-

Thanks for the pics. I'll show them to the exhaust guy when the world restarts! 👍

I also had a Stainless Steel side exhaust made up by PowerFlow, £250 fitted, would have been £300 for full length.
Cheaper than the OEM one of Milners, and on the advice of Lewis, better quality as well.
